Peel Statue

Wow, where did July go?! Well, besides taking a short holiday from the work routine, we have been full-steam ahead, with no breaks for a post. Mmmm, OK, I’ll get better at this!

Anyway, one of the more unusual job’s I’ve had recently was restoration of the statue at the corner of Peel and Maisonneuve, downtown Montreal.

Designed by Paul Lancz, who was Commissioned by Mr Lepine who built the Le Cartier building behind it, the statue is of marble sourced from Italy by Joe Panzera, owner of Ciot.

A real beauty, and several weeks of work to bring her back to full brilliance.

Needing some work!
